Mt. Takao, life as an universe/

There are times when you feel like you are worthless, don't you?
Well, at least I do. I get lost sometimes. Especially after the earthquake.
I had to breathe in some green…
so I headed out to Mt. Takao, a 30-min-ride by train.
GREEN.
Different colors of leaves, trees, mountains...
I am not being hypocritical, really, this mountain in Tokyo is quite beautiful.
God, you must be there!
Life is so so so so so so so so complicated...
but that's why it's so beautiful.
I'm not talking about my own life here.
The life here on earth, you, me, and everything else that exists.
OK, maybe I am not making much sense.
When you take a look at one cell,
it makes you feel like you are looking into the universe.
That's what I was thinking while looking into the microscope in my undergrad days.
Looking into the finder gives me same kind of feeling.
 Life as an universe.

the black eyes in the middle/中目黒にて

Tokyo has entered the rainy season.
When that was informed, I was taking picture in Nakameguro,
which means the black eyes in the middle.

This name came from the God that lived here in ancient times.

Probably the God had black eyes I assume.

Like the God's eyes, I have been taking pictures with black-and-white finder.

I can only see black and while in the finder, like that of Asians'/Africans' eyes.
(I know Caucasians says our eyes are brown, don't know about other countries)
But he world is so colorful, as you look into it carefully.

Like him/her, who is colorful as you get closer.

Like the people passing by.

me & rosco motion orchestra/地震の後

I've made a music clip for rosco motion orchestra, my friend's band.
I have been filming Tokyo after the earth quake, wanting to "find out" the reason
why I can sense the sadness under the smiles I see.

I'd rather have you see it in a large monitor, but whatever works.

violyn: yuki hasegawa

filmed by momi yamashita

i know that i don't know/自分が無知であることを知っている

it was a boy from Senegal, that has told me things that I don't know.
About Africa. About living in Japan being Senegalese, and the food.
We watched TV news together, eating the food he fixed.
About Nigeria, Libya, and other places I didn't even know...
Where a lot of people are killing eachother, not being able to live normal life.
You are in a very good country, you know. He said. But no, I don't think I know.
I am too full of myself, stuck in the past.
I only know that the laundry will dry by the night time.
At least, i know that i don't know.
Well, oh yeah. I know that that there are so much love surrounding me,
which is such a blessing.

I went to Shizuoka to film green tea farm, away from Tokyo about 2.5 hrs by car.
Radioactivity was not much a concern here,
the count is low as normal, people were feeling safe here.
Flowers were feeling safe here also, blooming.
another bloom.
 alluring me.
Then a women came out from the house saying,
this was the sweetheart she saved from being stepped over by humans.
Pretty leaves.

saved by pretty love.

Pretty flowers.
It's her love, then I noticed, that'd been alluring me.
didn't want to go back to Tokyo.

but I knew I had to leave.
bye bye Kawane. c u again.
