The Caribbean Trip/ そろそろ旅の話をしよう〜Prelude

OK. "Kokomo" was the only image that I had of Caribbean.

「ココモ」というあの有名な曲以外、私はカリブ海について何も知らなかった。

However, since I was invited by Puerto Rico International Film Festival,

I decided to visit there to meet the pretty mama.

しかし、プエリトリコ国際映画祭に招待されたので折角だから訪ねてみようと決意。

Alright!

Just visiting Puerto Rico is not enough, I decided to visit Cuba, which I have not much information about, but very interested from Buena Vista Social Club.

よし。せっかくプエルトリコまで行くのならキューバに行きたい！

「ブエナビスタソーシャルクラブ」の音楽、映画ともに魅了されていたのでいつか行ってみたい国でもあったのでした。

However, there was a bit confusion here. 

I could not find a way to get to Cuba from Puerto Rico.

Why?

しかしながら、プエルトリコからキューバに直接行く方法が一つもない。

なぜ？

I immediately checked for a book about Cuban History, then read this book.　

And I found out something I did not know anything about.

すぐにキューバの歴史書を探し、なんとか入手。

そして私はまた何も知らなかったことを知った。

Fidel Castro, he organized the Cuban Revolution together with Argentina man, Guevara.

フィデル・カストロという男がアルゼンチン人のチェ・ゲバラとキューバ革命を行った事。

Then found out that, Cuba-US relationship is pretty bad.

Anti-socialism vs Anti-Capitalism.

そしてキューバと米国の関係がとても悪い事を知る。

反社会主義×反資本主義の対立。

Gottago.

I looked into a route to get to Cuba, and finally got the ticket from Puerto Rico→Dominican Republic→Panama→Cuba. Well done.

これは行かなくては。

プエルトリコ→ドミニカ共和国→パナマ→キューバへのフライトをなんとかか確保。

Trip to Caribbean/カリブ海への旅

映画祭が開催されたビエケス島、プエルトリコ。

And here is where I fell in love with, Cuba.

一発でキューバに堕ちました。

And at the end, I stopped by Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

そして最後にサントドミンゴ、ドミニカ共和国に数日滞在しました。

Now, I don't really want to share my experience. It was too beautiful to describe.

あまりにも美しい想い出ばかりで、これだけでお腹が一杯です。
